We spend too much time on support and the phone

The same questions about price, stock and status tie up expensive hours on the phone.

Sound familiar?

  • The same questions fill the phone every day
  • Customers wait in a queue when things are busy
  • Expensive hours go on repeating price, stock and status

What this is about

Every day goes on answering the same questions

Self-service means the customer can look up your own figures: price, stock and order status, without calling. Today each of those answers takes a lookup in a system the customer cannot reach.

  1. Why the phone rings

Price, stock and status sit in systems only your own people can get into, so a quick question turns into a phone call. Every new item number is a new version of the question about price and lead time, including from the customers you already have.

  2. What the calls cost

The people who know the goods best spend their hours reading a figure out loud. In the busy periods the important enquiry waits exactly as long as the easy one.

  3. When the data will not hold

Unreliable stock or price data makes the damage worse, not smaller: the customer sees the wrong figure with her own eyes and calls anyway. The groundwork has to come first.

Self-service only answers what has one unambiguous answer. Anything that calls for judgement stays with your people, and they get more time for exactly those.

Before we build anything

Hours are easy to feel and hard to count. We count them first.

The safe route

How we start, without you committing to anything big

  1. Step 1

    Clarification meeting

A short conversation about where there is most to gain, and what it is worth. Free and without obligation.

  2. Step 2

    Digital pre-project

We look at what your customers most often call and write about. You get a concrete recommendation with numbers behind it, and if it does not pay off, we say so. A fixed price that is offset against the first stage if you build on within 90 days.

  3. Step 3

    Development in stages

We build in stages at a fixed price and take whatever pays for itself fastest first. After that, operation and support from the people who know the solution.

You can stop after each step without the effort being wasted.

What the solution usually consists of

We decide exactly what is needed together

Exactly what it takes, we work out together in the pre-project. A challenge like this one we usually solve with one or more of these approaches.

  • Digital advice Strategic use of technology and support for your processes, so you get overview, control and better insight into your own data. It is part of most projects.
  • Self-service Giving customers or colleagues a portal or app where they find answers and act for themselves.
